At some point every year, I have an intense period of work and travel that results in simple day-to-day tasks falling by the wayside.
I reached that point last weekend — hence the combined “Another 52 Weeks” installment.
In the last five weeks, I’ve shot three multiple day conferences (two locally and one in San Diego), a seven-hour “Boys From Oklahoma” concert in Stillwater, a ballet, and a theater performance (both local). It is, to paraphrase Rob Lowe’s “Parks and Recreation” character, literally thousands of images that have had to be culled and are (still) being processed.
Oh, I also went to Philadelphia and New York City for an overnight trip and spent three days with my mom and two days visiting relatives in Texas surrounding the Oklahoma journey. And we last weekend, we sandwiched in a long-planned Mother’s Day trek to North Carolina to see Pearl Jam — a memorable bucket list item for my wife that I’ll write about after coming up for air.
Not that you missed it, but that’s why you didn’t receive “Another 52 Weeks” in your inbox last Saturday.
So, while I pledge to do better in scheduling, I’ll stop writing here now and give you two weeks worth of photos. All 14 images have been taken during travels this year.
Enjoy, and we’ll see you next Saturday. (I think…)

Side note: As I kvetch about an intense schedule, I have to give a shout out to the Lenovo Center workers who somehow managed to reconfigure the Raleigh arena five times in five nights to accommodate comedian Shane Gillis, Pearl Jam, and two NHL playoff games. The same goes for the crew at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, which hosted four sellout shows — by the same groups — on four consecutive nights. I’ve long admired the behind the scenes workers who make these giant events happen.
Love shadows and light. So beautiful Glenn
They’re all beautiful but that peephole is kinda magic ❤️
