Mexico City: In Living Color
Barely scratching the surface of the world's 7th largest city
As much as I enjoy traveling to different places, the most difficult part is that you only have a snapshot of time to immerse yourself in the day-to-day culture.
This was true in Mexico City, where I spent four days with my wife last month at Jason Isbell’s “Super Ocho” event. The event was packed, with a half-day food tour, a half-day walking tour of the downtown area, Lucha Libre, and two concerts.
I carried my Canon to everything except the shows, but when it comes to photographing the world’s 7th largest city, the surface barely was scratched. The list of places we didn’t get to see was much longer than what we managed to cram in, and we crammed in a lot.
These are some of my color images from the trip. The black and whites will be featured in a future “Visual Story.”

Beautiful!
Glenn, I’ve enjoyed reading your essays. I’m glad we met at Super Ocho!
