I think the photo that ran had resonance: who else but Ali could spar a white kid, knowing he could give the kid a whupping, in this rural Texas city.
I don’t disagree with that, but I still think the other photo was the better shot.
Also, it looks like the police officer (Willie Mitchell) is picking his nose.
