Hi Mr. Cook. I am the local history librarian in Texas City at the Moore Memorial Public Library. I would love to talk a bit about your experience with the Showboat Theater. If you have a moment, can you call me at the library at 409-643-5977? Thank you kindly. P.S. Excellent article by the way. Best!
Wait until you get into your late 50s. That's when you really start looking back. A lot of my writing is about that quest to connect the dots.
I'm not a technical photographer, and working in a darkroom scared the hell out of me because I was always screwing things up, so I quickly pushed it aside and thought that was for someone else. Like I said, digital was a game changer, and even though I'm still occasionally terrified, I'm constantly learning something new.

Enjoyed the conversation!
In the photo set of The Bayou, what is the picture in the lower left?
It’s the drive thru box office booths where they collected your money.
Thanks! The curbs(?) were throwing me off.
I find looking back at the choices I made (which at the time seemed inconsequential) yet led to where I am is fascinating.
You had no idea that small assignment would turn into a life long career. It’s pretty great to connect the dots and see the story emerge.
