As someone who is a decade younger than the members of X and who witnessed Doe playing as he did this past week, I wasn’t depressed, but inspired. The group’s 2020 album was great, not irrelevant or playing the nostalgia is fine” card. And they’re not your average Foreigner, Foghat, Styx, and Night Ranger who do make Fisher’s predictions seem closer to the truth than not.
