Traveling Through
On the road or on foot, a look at some of the random things that catch my eye
From 2013 to 2020, I faithfully posted a Daily Photo to my Facebook photography page, but stopped due to the pandemic. Efforts to pick it back up were met with a lack of engagement, in part because I did not purchase advertising, which means the posts are suppressed in the algorithm.
Most of the “Visual Stories” you’ll see here have a theme — a particular place that has special meaning or an interesting story attached, or a behind-the-scenes look at my photography. But I also shoot anything that catches my eye, and these random images don’t necessarily have a particular story or theme attached.
Here are a dozen of those shots, taken locally and during a series of recent travels.
I hope you’ll let me know which ones you like in the comment section and answer two questions for me as well.
Does an image make you laugh, smile, question, or wonder why I would take the time to click the shutter for something like that?
Would you like to see future “Traveling Through” albums?
Join me on Notes
Notes is a new space on Substack for us to share links, short posts, quotes, photos, and more. One way I plan to use it is for things that don’t fit this space, like works-in-progress or quick questions.
Substack has a huge following of writers who are contributing to Notes, so if you’re interested, check it out at substack.com/notes or find the “Notes” tab in the Substack app. As a subscriber to Our Reality Show, you’ll automatically see my notes and you can share your own, even if you’re not writing on the platform.
If you encounter any issues, you can always refer to the Notes FAQ for assistance. Hope to see you there!
Love all of the photos but my favorite is the sunset in Virginia. Keep posting!
Drive through Staunton from one home in Norfolk to our other in Rogersville, TN...need to make it a stop along the way.
