Yes, yes, yes to each point. I was never much of a fan of the original film; Spielberg brought context and filled in so many little holes. The vicious bigotry between the two groups of kids makes me cringe, as I heard a lot of the same nasty names and taunts in the neighborhood I grew up in. I think it's obvious that Ben enjoyed himself immensely. Looking for more, more, more! 💕
