Glenn, I really enjoyed this. When I finished college, I spent 15 months as a paralegal before law school. It was lots of grunt work but with amazing people. And 30 years later, I consider it to have been one of my greatest professional experiences. On the one hand, maybe that's sad. But I'm no less grateful for that time and the friends I still have at that firm.
Over time, I've learned job is just a job made better or worse by the people you work with. As a freelancer for the past 10 years, sometimes I miss the day-to-day collegiality you find in an office, but not the political B.S. that comes along for the ride. Thanks for reading!
