Thanks, Wayne!

I work with a private performing arts school here and each year I take concept portraits of the seniors. Here's a piece that explains what went into that photo: https://open.substack.com/pub/glenncook/p/stage-dad-a-different-kind-of-portrait?r=727x&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

The hardware store file cabinet reminds me of the Ace Hardware near me, where there real value is the institutional knowledge of the old timers that work there.

It's Nichols Hardware in Purcellville, Va., about 40 miles from where we live. It's an institution that has been open since 1914. (https://nicholshardware.com)

I love it. I saw the yardstick on the side of the photo, but my guess is it never gets used. That’s the kinda place where everything is just eyeballed.

OK, Glenn, I'll bite: Like George Carlin's bit on words that have never been placed together before (like, "Please hand me that piano!"), what were ballerinas doing playing pool? And, don't say, "A well-executed Plié and pas de deux"!

Was it part of a multi-day tournament? And, did the winner get to trade up her tutu, and happily take possession of a three-three? Inquiring minds (this one, anyway) want to know!😁

👉I just saw your response to Wayne, who beat me to being the first to comment on your cue-ballerinas!
